Social Listener ("we", "our", "us") is a social media monitoring platform operated by Aveosoft ("Company"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
  • Usage Data: URLs you submit, keywords you configure, and interactions with the platform such as sentiment labels and notes.
  • Public Social Media Data: Publicly available metadata from social media posts (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publication dates) fetched from URLs you provide.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version when using the mobile application.
  • Connected Account Tokens: OAuth tokens when you connect social media accounts (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). We store access tokens securely and use them only to fetch content on your behalf.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To fetch and display social media post metadata based on URLs and keywords you configure.
  • To authenticate your identity and manage multi-tenant access.
  • To track contributions and manage the employee rewards system.
  • To send service-related notifications and updates.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Within your organization: Users in the same tenant can see shared posts, keywords, and contribution leaderboards.
  • Service providers: We use third-party APIs (YouTube Data API, Meta Graph API, Twitter API, LinkedIn API) to fetch publicly available post metadata. These requests are subject to each platform's respective privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication. OAuth tokens for connected accounts are stored securely and are never exposed to other users or third parties.

6. Data Retention

Social media post data is retained for a rolling 7-day window and automatically purged after expiry. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting your organization's administrator or reaching out to us directly.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms. Your use of connected social media accounts is subject to the privacy policies of those platforms:

  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram): facebook.com/privacy/policy
  • X (Twitter): x.com/en/privacy
  • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Disconnect connected social media accounts at any time.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
